QuotaSpot Third-Party Notices

QuotaSpot works together with free and open-source software written by other people. This page lists that software, its licence, and - importantly - whether we distribute it or whether your router downloads it directly from the OpenWrt project.
Nothing in the QuotaSpot Software Licence limits your rights under these licences.
A. What we distribute
A1. The QuotaSpot kit (zip download)
All files in the kit - install.sh, config.env.example, the PHP portal and admin pages,
portal-user, the shell scripts (custombinauth.sh, no-offload.sh, cleanup.sh),
schema.sql, the reference/ configuration examples, the demo tool, the guides and
screenshots - are our own work, licensed under the QuotaSpot Software Licence.
The kit contains no third-party code. It does not include OpenWrt, openNDS, PHP, SQLite or
uhttpd. It contains scripts that configure those programs and ask the router to install them
(see section B). The optional demo tool (tools/demo/) runs with a PHP installation you already
have on your own computer; it does not include PHP.
A2. QuotaSpot Setup (desktop app)
The app is one program file per operating system. It contains:

golang.org/x/sys and golang.org/x/term appear in the app's module files as indirect
dependencies but are not compiled into the released program (checked from the program's build
information).
The Go and golang.org/x/crypto licence text is reproduced in section D.

The checker's own code and the verdict rules are our work. The Cairo font files are unmodified; the font is not sold on its own and is used only to display the website.
B. What your router downloads from OpenWrt (we do not distribute these)
When the installer runs with --install-packages (QuotaSpot Setup always does this), your
router downloads and installs the following packages with its own package manager (apk or
opkg) from the OpenWrt package servers configured on it (by default OpenWrt's official
servers). We do not host, modify or redistribute them.

These packages may pull in further dependencies (for example C libraries); each carries its own licence, listed in OpenWrt's package metadata.
Note on PHP: newer PHP releases are moving to a BSD-3-Clause-style licence (the current
php-src main branch says BSD-3-Clause). PHP 8.4, which OpenWrt 25.12 ships, is under the PHP
License 3.01.
C. OpenWrt firmware images (GL.iNet switch)
When you switch a GL.iNet GL-MT3000 or GL-MT6000 to OpenWrt, QuotaSpot Setup downloads the official, unmodified OpenWrt firmware image from downloads.openwrt.org to your computer, checks it against OpenWrt's published checksum, and copies it to your router. We do not host, modify or redistribute the image. OpenWrt is licensed under the GPL-2.0; its source code is available from the OpenWrt project (https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt).
